Portrait Commissions

Portrait drawings are a rendering of head and shoulders on paper approximately 14 inches by 20 inches. Graphite on toned paper or trois crayon are the two options.

Portrait drawings start at $400.

If we move forward, we will meet for sketches and to take photo references, at which time a non-refundable deposit for half of the portrait cost will be due.

Depending on the type of work, commissions take between 1-6 months to complete. 

Portrait sketches are head-only oil sketches on linen panels. They are limited palette, no background and loose rendering on 11" x 14" to 12" x 20" panels. 

Portrait sketches start at $600.

I do not take commissions for landscapes, buildings, or pets at this time.

Although I love painting these things in my free time, my training is in portraiture and that is what I offer. 

Fully rendered, oil portrait on linen is a refined and finished painting in a Classical style. There is more flexibility with size, background, number of participants, as well as level of likeness.

Classical Portraits start at $1200.
